We keep stock of all service parts, with most repair parts available via our suppliers next working day.

We have a set pricing structure for all routine servicing of residential gardening machinery. Thus giving you peace of mind on knowing the costs prior to commissioning us to carry out a service. We must stress, however, that a routine service isn’t usually the answer to running or starting issues.

What is a routine service?

A routine service ensures your machinery is kept in tip top condition, and mitigate as much as possible, any risks of repairs in the future. If your machine is not running as it should, then the likelihood is, that it is in need of a repair, and most probably a service as well. We frequently have customers drop their garden machinery off for a service, but it actually needs the carb cleaning, replacement parts or other work in order to get it running as it should. Simply changing the oil, spark plugs/glow plugs etc & filters etc, typically won’t solve the issues it’s having, although is some cases it will. That’s why we offer a free 30 minute diagnostic on all Garden, Forestry and Light Plant Machinery. We can typically diagnose most issues within that time-frame, and provide you with a completely free no-obligation quotation. If however, you choose not to go ahead with the repair, for example, it’s beyond economical repair, the time spent is chargeable to cover our costs.

On-site Repairs

Where possible we always like to repair machinery at our workshop in Muckelton. This is because we have all of the tools, diagnostic and lifting equipment to hand. However, we appreciate that this isn’t always practical, as some machinery is immovable with limited access. So, we can also repair on-site. There is a call out charge of £45 for this service (within 15 miles of Shrewsbury). This essentially covers the time it takes to get together the relevant tools, and travel time / fuel etc. Where pick-up is possible, we just charge £10 each way within the same radius. We use a specially adapted livestock trailer with a tailgate and winch, so we can easily haul up non-running heavy garden machinery, whilst keeping them nice and dry.

Customer Drop-Off

You’re always welcome to drop your machinery off to us. As there is always someone on-site, you do not need to book this in. We must stress though that even the smallest of mowers can be quite heavy and advise 2 people lift it into the boot of a car. Typically the handles fold down to make transporting it to us, easier. We will help lift this end to avoid back injuries.

Areas we cover

We cover the vast majority of the midlands, including:

  • Shrewsbury
  • Telford
  • Oswestry
  • Baschurch

For more information on the areas we cover and how we either pick-up or your drop-off, please check out the Area’s We Cover page.

How long does it take to diagnose, repair or service, and return?

This all depends on what the problem is. If it’s a simple routine service we aim to get these turned around and ready for either pick-up or drop-off in around 7 working days. If we need to order specialist parts for repairs, that are back-order items, then obviously this will take longer.

Pretty much as soon as we take delivery or get the machine into the workshop, we aim to diagnose it within 2 days, so we can get whatever parts we need on order, to avoid lengthy delays.

Commercial Clients & Schools

If your machinery is used for work, or schools then you’re better off calling us first as we dedicate time-slots each week for such customers. We understand that without your machinery, you’re potentially losing time, and money. So where possible, we always try to prioritise these machines, providing it’s not at the detriment of our residential customers.
